NELMA to Sponsor LegendStock 2009  B-Main

With the countdown to LegendStock 2009 presented by RACEceiver and Jeff Bank winding down, it was announced this week that NELMA has signed on to sponsor the B-main at the prestigious event. For their efforts, the winner of the B-main will receive $100 from NELMA in addition to their transfer spot into the A-main. LegendStock 2009 will be hosted at Bethel Motor Speedway in White Lake, New York, this coming Saturday, August 15th.

LegendStock 2009 presented by RACEceiver and Jeff Bank is believed to be the highest-paying single Legends race in the Northeast, with a total guaranteed purse of $3,000. The overall winner will pocket $1,500, and the winner in each class will receive a three-foot tall guitar trophy. Last year, the event drew more than 35 competitors, with drivers coming from across the area and from as far away as Minnesota and Georgia. This year, drivers from eight different states have expressed their intent to compete. Bethel Motor Speedway is collaborating with LegendsNation.com to provide Trackside Now live updates of the race beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, allowing those who can not attend the event to follow the day's events in real time. The speedway will also be producing video footage of the event to be aired on local cable networks.

The gates will open for LegendStock 2009 presented by RACEceiver and Jeff Bank at 3 p.m. on Saturday, with hot laps slated to begin at 4:30 p.m. Entry for a Legends car and driver is $50. RACEceiver transponders will be provided to each registered driver for use for the race at no cost. Grandstand admission for spectators is $5.

NELMA is the promoter of the Late Model Challenge, Legends Car Fall Classic and Pro Truck Rumble to be hosted at Sundance Vacations Speedway (PA) on October 24th. In addition to sponsoring the B-main for the LegendStock 2009 event, NELMA will also guarantee a provisional starting spot in the Legends Car Fall Classic to the overall winner of the LegendStock 2009 A-main. This year will mark NELMA's second annual running of the Legends Car Fall Classic.
