Street Stock Fender Fury Added to NELMA
Just when you thought NELMA was done crafting their October 24 program at
Sundance Vacations Speedway in St. Johns, Pa., they continue to pull out
rabbits from their hat. Joining the three premier events on the slate – The
NELMA Late Model Challenge, NELMA Legends Car Fall Classic, and the NELMA
Pro Truck Rumble – will be the street stocks for NELMA Street Stock Fender
Fury.
“We’ve had street-stock-type cars every year we’ve held an event,” said
NELMA promoter J.A. Ackley, “and they are never short on excitement. The
street stock guys are a bunch of wild, fun-loving drivers who aren’t afraid
to swap a little paint - they produce one heck of a show.”
The Street Stock Fender Fury will complete the four-class program for NELMA
at St. Johns, Pennsylvania’s Sundance Vacations Speedway on Saturday,
October 24. In addition to the NELMA Street Stock Fender Fury, the show will
feature Late Models for their 100-lap NELMA Late Model Challenge, the NELMA
Legends Car Fall Classic, and the NELMA Pro Truck Rumble. Immediately
preceding the program will be the inaugural Hazleton Rat Rod Festival and
Automotive Swap Meet, which will run from 10AM-2PM. For competitors, pits
open at 8 AM on Saturday, October 24, with practice beginning at 10 AM. For
NELMA fans, grandstands will open at 12 noon, with qualifying to begin at
12:30 PM, and the show to start at 2 PM. The rain date for the show is
Sunday, October 25.
