NEETS Has Full Deck for the Remainder of the Season
The action at most track across the area is winding down, yet NEETS, the
North East Enduro Tour Series has a full slate of racing ahead, beginning
October 11 at Grandview Speedway. For years, the "Fem-Duro" has been a
popular event for the series and this year is no different.
Male drivers in the 4 cylinder and 6/8 cylinder divisions will take to the
speedway for 100-lap enduros and then the ladies will climb into the cockpit
to finish off the job in a 50-lap ladies only event. All of the action
begins when the green flag drops on shortly after 2 PM on Sunday, October
11.
Next up on the schedule is Junk-a-Thon on October 18th. The Junk-a-Thon will
feature a regular showing NEETS races for the day. A special race will also
be added to the regular Big Car and Small Car races.
Wrapping up the October enduros will be the Infamous "Frankenduro" which
will take place at Wall Stadium on October 25th. This will mark the 4th
asphalt race for the series at the high-banks in 2009. This will be one of
the busiest days of racing the series has seen in a long time with Big and
Small Car 100 lap races, TRUX and Super TRUX 50 Lappers and Ladies Only
race, all in addition to the running of the Wall Stadium's Sunday Series!
The championship race at Grandview Speedway, The MUTHA of All Enduros, is
slated for November 14th with a 1:00 PM start time. This will be the final
points race of the 2009 season which will feature two 150 Lap races for both
divisions and a double points/double purse scoring format! With an average
of 40 Big Cars per race, a guaranteed $1,000 minimum will be paid out to the
winner! Racing will start early this day, so please mark your calendars!
Gobble Gobble!!! The 36th Annual Turkey Derby will be ran at Wall Stadium
starting on November 27th. New in 2009, a Sunday Enduro event has been added
to the card! NEETS will host the first ever Turkey Derby Enduro at Wall
Stadium! On the card for this event is the typical Big and Small Car and
TRUX enduros as well as the addition of an open competition enduro, "Run
what ya brung", 200 Lap or 2 hour winner takes ALL! NEETS is blowing out
2009 in a huge way, so whether you're there for the dirt races or asphalt
races, you'll see some of the most intense enduro action around!
Stay tuned for further updates and information regarding the upcoming
events. Good luck to all our drivers as we enter the final events of 2009!
Finally, NEETS is going to be working with several charities and FM 102.9
WMGK Philadelphia's Classic Rock Station coordinating coat drives across the
PA/NJ region. Radio station Sportscaster Joe Krause will be attending the
Wall Stadium event on October 25th with a full crew from the radio station
collecting winter coats for the homeless. On November 8th, NEETS officials
and drivers will be making an appearance at the East Greenville Walmart in
coordination with Conti Landscaping for the annual winter coat drive.
