Two Top Fives for Frantz
Twin 25 lap features were on hand for the Sport Modifieds this week at
Sundance Vacations Speedway. Paul Frantz started the first feature
thirteenth and steadily moved his way toward the front. The car was not to
his liking, but Frantz was able to come up and finish sixth.
For the second feature, Frantz started sixth in the Associated
Chiropractic/Haines Exxon #210. On the start, the car in front of Frantz
missed a shift causing the outside row to bottle up and fall to the rear.
Once things got settled, Frantz found himself back to eleventh in the
MetLife car. The team made changes between features which seemed to help as
Frantz was able to move back up to seventh only to get spun out with five
laps to go. He was able to make a small charge and finish ninth.
Frantz stated:"Over all, not a bad day. I thought we would be better, but
the car didn't like the sun today I guess."
Next up is the 10th King of the Mountain race this coming Saturday.
Qualifying starts at 1:15pm with features scheduled for 4:00pm. For more
