Jeff Strunk and Richie Tobias Set to Tame Asphalt for
Brad Kline Memorial
A true champion like Street Stock racer Brad Kline, Jeff Strunk is set to
do battle on the asphalt at Sundance Vacations Speedway behind the wheel of
a Tobias SpeedSTR on Sunday, August 16. Along with the Brad Kline Street
Stock Memorial, Strunk, along with many other familiar faces, including
Richie Tobias and Paul Lotier, Jr. will circle the popular 1/3-mile speedway
with hopes of holding the checkered flag at the finish.
Tobias is a household name in auto racing and Strunk is right there in the
mix. Strunk, a popular competitor in the dirt modifieds has sewn up many
championships, including crowns at Big Diamond Raceway and Grandview
Speedway.
The First Annual Brad Kline Memorial Street Stock event will be held to
honor Brad Kline, a former two-time Street Stock champion, friend and father
who competed at the speedway. As a family tradition, he followed in his
father’s (Dean Kline) footsteps, as did his brother, Dean.
All of the action will begin with Street Stock time trials at 2 PM on
Sunday, August 16. The Tobias SpeedSTRS and Slingshots are also on the card.
Pit admission is $35 and the grandstand gate fee is only $10 for spectators,
ages 11 and older. Children 10 and under are admitted to the grandstand for
free.
Formerly Evergreen Raceway and Mountain Speedway, Sundance Vacations
Speedway is just minutes from Hazleton, Pa and is located on St. John’s
Road, between Routes 93 and 309.
